Founded by Cameroonian artist Barthélémy Toguo, Bandjoun Station is a creative center situated on the high plains of Western Cameroon. Its two main buildings house a temporary exhibition space, permanent collection space, and living space for workshops and residencies. An interior courtyard between the two structures acts as an outdoor auditorium. Combining artistic and agricultural development, Bandjoun Station also operates a coffee plantation, demonstrating the central importance of agriculture in constructing self-sufficient food production systems.
For 1:54, Bandjoun Station presents a Mobile Cafeteria, inspired by the “tournedos cafés” of Cameroon. This cafeteria offers visitors the opportunity to taste the coffee produced in Bandjoun, while also being exposed to the initiatives run by the centre. Coffee cups and packaging specially created for this purpose bear particular graphical mention, to be signed and numbered on site. Produced in limited edition, Bandjoun Station Coffee is a 100% Arabica coffee, roasted and ground in Cameroon.
