Art Bärtschi & Cie’s main curatorial focus is art from the 1980s to the present. Since 2015, a new team carries on the work of the gallery founded in 1990 in Geneva and continues producing important exhibitions with established international artists as well as emerging artists. The gallery works with numerous institutions and participates in international fairs in order to nurture the work of its artists. Recent programme highlights include Jan Fabre’s Gold and Blood (Sculptures and Drawings), Nan Goldin’s Träume and Cornelia Parker’s No Man’s Land. Art Bärtschi & Cie supports the evolving practice of young Switzerland-based emergent artists. In order to enable further exchanges between the French and German-speaking parts of Switzerland, a new space will be opened in Basel in late 2018.
