Talwst Santiago’s practice explores issues of transculturalism, memory and ancestry in the contemporary diasporic experience. His Infinity Series of miniature dioramas in reclaimed ring boxes consider the absence of certain narratives in dominant culture, drawing on the tradition of storytelling to question the production of historical understanding. The artist’s interest in storytelling, in particular narratives from African and Caribbean culture, informs the tension between the powerful content and miniature scale.

His works have been exhibited at the Little Salon Toronto Walnut Contemporary, Toronto (2013); Annual Manifesto Festival Art Exhibition Toronto, Ontario (2013) and Fuse Gallery, New York (2012).
