Modupeola Fadugba’s practice includes painting, drawing and installations. Having lived and worked in several countries, she draws upon this diverse experience in nearly a decade of socio-economically engaged work. Fadugba’s diverse body of work creates an active dialogue about issues of social justice, identity, education and the use of art as a vehicle for activism.

Fadugba holds a B.Eng., Chemical Engineering and M.A., Economics form the University of Delaware, as well as a M.Ed. from Harvard Graduate School of Education). She won the Grand Prize from the Minister of Culture and Communication at the 12th edition of the Dakar Biennial (2016) for her work, The People’s Algorithm, an interactive game installation and a response to Nigeria’s troubling education and unemployment crisis.
