After a successful fifth-anniversary edition between 5-8 October 2017 in London, 1:54 launches its first edition in Marrakech on the 24-25 February 2018 at La Mamounia.

With annual editions in London, New York and Marrakech, 1:54 is the leading international art fair dedicated to contemporary art from Africa and its diaspora. Drawing reference to the fifty-four countries that constitute the African continent, 1:54 is a sustainable and dynamic platform that is engaged in contemporary dialogue and exchange.

Initiated by Touria El Glaoui in 2013, this year marks its fifth consecutive edition at Somerset House, London.

1:54 London 2017 showcased 42 leading international galleries, presenting over 130 African and African diasporan artists across the East, South and West Wings of Somerset House. The fifth-anniversary edition was accompanied by an educational and artistic talks programme, FORUM, curated by Koyo Kouoh and Special Projects.

Launching its first edition on the African continent, 1:54 arrives in Marrakech between the 24-45 February 2018 at La Mamounia and returns to Pioneer Works in New York 4-6 May 2018.
